Food Story

Cliburn Allen wrote her first book in elementary school about growing, picking and canning produce from her grandparent’s garden. Each summer, her grandpa would explain how not all of her peers had this same access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Since childhood, Cliburn Allen’s service, research and practice has been informed by the belief that all people deserve access to nutritious food.
