Food Story

Hoffman’s relationship with food has always been complicated. She was raised in a small farm town and yet also grew up when fast food variety was peaking. As an adult and as a vegan, Hoffman loves finding recipes to recreate her favorite comfort foods and baked goods. Making a meal that is delicious and repeatable is truly like striking gold. On a professional level and while studying for her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, the two topics Hoffman was most interested in were food security and childhood obesity, and the intersection between those topics.
