National Extension and Research Administrative Officers Conference (NERAOC 2026) • March 23-26, 2026, Kansas City, KS

Overview: Beth Kerling attended the National Extension and Research Administrative Officers Conference (NERAOC). Hosted by Kansas State University and the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), the conference provided a venue for professional development and information sharing specific to grants administration and fiscal management, including multiple NIFA-led sessions on civil rights compliance, allowable/unallowable costs, grants modernization initiatives, and updates to the USDA and NIFA General Terms and Conditions.  

While there, Beth networked with grants and agreements professionals from the Land-grant University system and other cooperating institutions as well as the federal partners that administer our GusNIP NTAE cooperative agreement. Learnings from the conference will ensure our grants and agreements are administered with integrity and in full compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
