Overview: Dr. Fung Uy attended the annual F2S conference, hosted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The conference highlighted local efforts to support farmers in school-based settings, as well as innovative approaches to integrating school gardens and agroecological design into curricula. Sessions also explored strategies to enhance school nutrition standards, promote food safety, and reduce food waste. 

The event included farm tours and a Farmers Market Expo, providing opportunities to engage directly with local farmers and observe on-the-ground implementation. Attendance supported CNHI’s ongoing work in local food systems by strengthening relationships with community partners and identifying opportunities to advance food access and nutrition security.
